Nancy A. Blane,
a partner of Blane, Canada Ltd., has applied her 20 plus years of
economic development experience to help lead the firm in research,
planning, and marketing implementation. Ms. Blane has also assisted
in the creation of economic development organizations including: program
priorities, marketing, staffing, and building consensus on strategy.
Before founding
Blane, Canada Ltd., Nancy was Director of the International Trade
Division for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs.
With four overseas offices, her responsibilities incorporated business
attraction and export promotion. Prior to joining the state, Ms.
Blane was the Director/Founder of the International Trade department
for the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce. Nancy¹s tasks included:
establishing a statewide export network, building relationships
with consular officers, and advising local development groups on
international marketing and reverse investment.
Nancy Blane
has worked with clients seeking to analyze their target markets,
to expand their market impact, and to communicate with internal
and external audiences. This has included development of newsletters,
research, surveys, executive search and data analysis. She conducts
in-depth interviews and has been an effective meeting facilitator,
assisting diverse interests to learn and coordinate with each other.
