The Baton Rouge Area Chamber, LA
The Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) is a nine-parish regional economic development organization that services the Greater Baton Rouge Capital Region.
A retention & expansion
visitation program was established in 2006 and utilizes the
E-Synchronist Business Information SystemŽ as its primary
information management tool.
Data obtained through this model is used to address
systemic issues and contribute to long-range strategic
planning to maximize returns on investment. Ultimately, the
program drives one-on-one services to companies to resolve
issues impacting the region.
To date, the program has
performed approximately 400 site visits and executive
interviews with primary sector, or driver, firms. The
program has evolved into a resource for existing industry in
the region that goes beyond mere data collection.
It focuses on true problem solving and offers
solutions for issues facing companies in Baton Rouge and throughout the region.
Business retention and
expansion initiatives continue to be an integral part of
BRAC’s total business development model and a strong
contributor to the overall success of the organization.
