That’s why the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), in partnership with the e-Synchronist Business Information System® (Synchronist), offers this effective approach to gain the knowledge needed to retain and grow local existing businesses.
TVA’s economic development services are offered to all communities and local utility distributor customers in its seven-state service area. These services include community development, technical and research services, recruitment of new industry and existing business and industry support. Synchronist is one of the tool’s TVA uses to help local communities retain and grow their local businesses including industrial, commercial, tourism and retail.
Research shows that 70 to 80 percent of all new jobs in the Tennessee Valley are created by a community’s existing businesses. Knowing this fact, TVA Economic Development is committed to the long-term success of the Valley’s established companies. To assist with implementing retention and expansion programs, including the Synchronist system, TVA offers:
